SUB/ARCHIVE

Sub/Archive is an artistic and curatorial framework that explores the legacy of vernacular photography (1950–1990) as a living material for critical inquiry. This project interrogates collective visual memory through photographic fragments—remnants of a bygone era, witnesses to stolen intimacies, and forgotten stories.

These images engage in dialogue, confront one another, overlap, and sometimes fracture, generating new visual configurations capable of projecting traces of a future in constant redefinition.

Sub/Archive establishes itself as a multidisciplinary platform where artistic creation intersects with curatorial experimentation. By transcending the boundaries between archives and contemporary practices, it creates a space to rethink the role of the image in shaping both collective and individual narratives.
