Crossed Timelines

10.05PM CEST

Curated by Nawal Benali.

The selection of short films, 'Crossed Timelines,' is as versatile as it is whimsical. United by the experimental content they embody, these catalysts of universes navigate themselves according to the free interpretation they inspire in the eyes that engage with them. While their aesthetics diverge, they all share an invitation to journey. It's not just about invoking the primary and physical sense of this movement but rather about letting oneself be guided by the appeal to the intrinsic feelings of letting go.

These excerpts from stories, whether real or fictional, from diverse eras and influences, whisper the idea of transcending our buried memories and beliefs. Legends, romances, and even the mundane take on a dimension of exploration. Nothing is fixed in time and space when dreams scatter through our thoughts. 'Crossed Timelines' could be the cinematic interpretation of Alexandre Poussin's quote: 'Traveling is giving meaning to one's life; traveling is giving life to one's senses.

The screening includes works by Robert Todd, Zachary Zezima, Jodie Mack, Louise Hémon&Halima Ouardiri, François Vogel&Stéphane Lavoix, Kangmin Kim, Shambhavi Kaul, Barbara Meter, Collectif Babouckha.
